This is also a period of time, the length of which is not expressly given to us. However, a number of events occurring during this period of time are clearly set out:
- Establishment of the One-World Government.
- Division of the One-World Government in to ten Regions or Kingdoms.
- Rise to power of one man, who will take control of the whole world and broker a Seven-Year Peace Treaty between Israel and the rest of the world.
- Rebuilding of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem*.
- First Global Blackout.
- The return of the Prophet Elijah.
- The signing of the Seven-Year Peace Treaty with Israel.

Establishment of the One-World Government
The world will establish a single governing body having rule over the whole world;
Daniel 7: 7 – 23– “After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful… “So,he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things:‘The four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth…. “Then I wanted to know the meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, …“He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it.
Division of the One-World Government in to Ten Regions or Kingdoms.
How long the single governing body lasts is not revealed but it will split into ten regions or ‘kingdoms;
Daniel 7: 7 & 24 – It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns….The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom.
Rise to power of one man, who will take control of the whole world and broker a Seven-Year Peace Treaty between Israel and the rest of the world.
A further ‘king’ will rise to power and overthrow three of the ten rulers, Christians refer to this person as the Antichrist (he is also referred to in the Bible as The Seed of Satan; The Little Horn; The King of Fierce Countenance; The Prince that Shall Come; The Desolator; The Wilful King; The Man of Sin; The Son of Perdition; The Lawless One; The Beast);
Daniel 7: 8 – 24 – “While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it… I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than the others… “He gave me this explanation…
The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.
Rebuilding of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem*
This event is annotated because it must happen before the middle of The Tribulation, however whether it takes place before the start of the Tribulation or during the first half of it we do not know. The actual process of the construction of it is not recorded in the Bible. However reference, in the following Scriptures, confirm that it has to be rebuilt, as it does not presently (late 2018) exist;
Daniel 8: 27– He (Antichrist) will confirm a covenant (Peace Treaty) with many for one ‘seven’ (seven years). In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple (the rebuilt Jewish temple in Jerusalem) he will set up an abomination that causes desolation.
Matthew 24: 15– “So when you see standing in the holy place (the rebuilt Jewish temple in Jerusalem) ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’spoken of through the prophet Daniel”.
First Global Blackout.
There are five global blackouts described in the Bible occurring throughout ‘The End Times’, one before The Tribulation and four during;
Joel 2: 31– The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord (The Tribulation).
Return of The Prophet Elijah
Elijah did not die, he was taken from the Earth by God and Elijah will return to minister to the Jews ahead of Jesus’ return at the end of The Tribulation;
2 Kings 2: 11 – 12 – As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more.
Malachi 4: 5 – 6– “See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes (The Tribulation). He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents;
The signing of the Seven-Year Peace Treaty with Israel.
Daniel 8: 27– He (Antichrist) will confirm a covenant (Peace Treaty) with many for one ‘seven’ (seven years).
This event is key as it heralds the commencement of the seven years of The Tribulation.
